This Privacy Policy explains how Bullion Note, LLC ("we," "us"), the operator of thebullionnote.com and The Bullion Note publication (the "Service"), collects and uses personal data. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Editorial operations are conducted from Dubai, United Arab Emirates; the operating company is a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. We collect only what the Service needs to function: your email address and, where you provide it, your name, when you subscribe to the newsletter or register interest in any product; billing information when you purchase a paid subscription, which is collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe (we do not receive or store your full card details); correspondence you send us; and basic technical and usage data (such as IP address, device type, pages viewed and email open/click events) generated when you use the site or read our emails.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and the Service is not directed at minors.

We use personal data to deliver the newsletter and any content you have subscribed to; to process payments, manage subscriptions and prevent fraud; to send service and account communications; to send you information about our own publications and products, from which you can opt out at any time; to understand aggregate readership and improve the Service; and to comply with legal obligations.

Where the laws of your jurisdiction require a legal basis for processing, we rely on: performance of a contract (delivering what you subscribed to or purchased); your consent (free newsletter sign-ups and marketing, which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, understanding readership); and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract: Resend for newsletter delivery; Stripe for payment processing; and our website hosting provider. We do not currently use any third-party analytics or tracking provider, so no usage data is shared for that purpose. We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or sale of assets, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to the transferred data.

Because our operations span the UAE and the United States and our service providers operate internationally, your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, the United Arab Emirates and the European Economic Area. Where such transfers are subject to data-protection law, we rely on our providers' recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

We keep subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle queries and meet legal obligations. Billing records are retained as required by tax and accounting law. If you unsubscribe, we suppress your address from mailings; you may request full deletion as described below.

Depending on where you live (including under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR) you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately for future mailings.

To exercise any right, email info@thebullionnote.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.

The site uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed to operate (for example, session and login cookies for paid subscribers). We do not currently use any analytics or tracking tools, so no usage statistics are collected through such tools, and we do not use advertising cookies. If that changes, this Policy will be updated before any such tool is enabled. Your browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies; blocking essential cookies may prevent paid-subscriber login from working.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a publication of our size (encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable processors) to protect personal data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or a notice on the site, and the "Last updated" date revised.
